Week 19....

So I have become quite the bad blogger I realize and when I do post I have become the crazy mommy blogger only posting pictures of my precious child. It's just that when we are home and she is not napping (which is from the time she wakes up until the time she goes to sleep at night) I feel guilty sitting in front of the computer while her jumperoo or whatever entertains her. I know crazy stuff. Soooo therefore when I post I post the things I am going to want to remember most and it always leads to her. Oh well, that's my blogging story for now, maybe it will get better. I make no promises anymore. I have lost some weeks of her little life as well on the blog, but decided instead of trying to go back and recap them all I would just pick up with last week. I have pretty much recapped what happened in the lost weeks anyway with Christmas, New Year's, etc...

I felt like last week we finally got back into our routine after all the holiday craziness. Of course one holiday was over and we started thinking about the next, Valentine's Day. To early? Nah, never...I put up our Valentine's tree in Audrey's room. I bought this white tree at Family Dollar a couple of years ago when our town was shut down for a week due to 6 inches of snow. Yep, I just said that, how southern does that make me. Not sure what was so funny about that, the fact that our town still has a Family Dollar and I actually went and found something that was worth buying or the fact our town was shut down from 6 inches of snow. But, it was right after Christmas and Ray and I really wanted to put together a puzzle while we were shut in for the week. Of course the only place open was the Family Dollar and they had no puzzle, but they did have this wonderful white tree leftover from Christmas for a mere 4 dollars!! Ray was thrilled, let me tell you!! It cured my boredom for a second, until I realized that the local Hobby Lobby was of course closed and even if it wasn't there was no way these southern people were trekking the five miles to get there in the blizzard. So I had to wait until later to decorate but none the less that is the story of how we came up with this Valentine's Day tree.

This year was the first year I actually put lights on it or let's admit it put it up since the year of the snow, but what can I say Audrey needed it. She loves it by the way.

Sweet girl also took a ride in the Bob without the adapter for the first time last week!! She loved it so much we may have wheeled it right on in the house after our walk where she continued to sit for awhile.

My big girl also tried rice cereal for the first time last week! She is growing too fast. She loved it the first time but hasn't been too thrilled with it since and I will admit it I am not either. I think we are going to move on to sweet potatoes pretty soon. Ray of course used our video camera to capture the event but I haven't yet downloaded it so hopefully I will do that soon and add it back into this post. Somehow though our video camera (we just got it for Christmas and haven't really figured it all out yet) took these still pictures as well.

It was also Audrey's first time in the jumperoo last week. I went to Tiffany's (Buy Buy Blackwell we like to call it these days) and borrowed Timothy's jumperoo and high chair. We are so grateful for best friends with a garage full of baby stuff. Between that and her Step and Play Piano she got for Christmas she could play for hours now! She loves them both so much! Not to mention our house looks like a baby store.

On Saturday, we went to Greenwood to Jami's for our monthly playdate!!! We had a great time with them as always. We ate yummy taco soup, took lots of cute pictures, napped, and even took a trip to Sweet Tea's and Kohl's, the trip was cut a little short though because my darling one had a messy, messy diaper. The child who only poops twice a week decided to have the stinkiest diaper ever while we were in Sweet Tea's. We had set the girls down and one of the sweet ladies in the store were talking to them while we shopped and when I walked back to pick Audrey up the smell was breath taking. Poor sweet lady didn't want to say anything but then admitted she watched her do it, haha. Paige's room stunk for the whole afternoon, Audrey says she is so sorry girls! :)

Modeling one of their pillow case dresses that Paige's Aunt Jodi made for them!! They are pretty precious!

I am loving this stage!! I love that she is so much more interactive these days and she talks up a storm, especially in the mornings. When she is playing, she has definitely learned to have a little high pitch scream, haha. I was telling my speech therapist sister about it and of course she filled me in on the correct terminology and all. Apparently she is at the vocal play stage, haha, but it is pretty darn cute. We are loving life right now!!
